It turns out that the machine used to read the Überweisung I did last week had read the form incorrectly, and tried to give the money to the wrong account. Which is why the €330 rent was back in my account. Ach. But now it's been sorted out, hopefully.

I have tomorrow off and I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my day. But it has to be for free.

Oh God those things scared the hell out of me. I didn't even feel comfortable punching in the numbers manually, cos it used to take about 5 hours to do so and everyone in the queue would start to get annoyed. So I always used to go to the counter and be like "ja HALLO hier bin ich um die Miete zu bezahlen UND ZWAR an Kontonummer 98381822..." and they'd be like tja why didn't you just use the machine dumbass.
